We currently have three Trustees taking on specific areas and two Associate Trustees:
Chairman, Chair of the Board of Trustees
Liv is a Business and Marketing Consultant with over 15 years experience globally across sport, investment and telecoms sectors. She has gained experience and insights into Boards since 2001 including AIM listed, private and public organisations. Liv is passionate about people having access to services that support good health and wellbeing.
Nana was appointed to the Board to help define its people change agenda and steer the organisation into its next phase. Nana has over 10 years experience in Human Resources and people management, and is currently working as Head of Human Resources for Cass Art. Nana is extremely passionate about charities, in particular women’s charities having spent years as a child watching her mother support women’s centres on a voluntary basis in her capacity as a Barrister.
Trustee, Company Secretary
Barbara’s background is as a solicitor. She has been linked to the charity sector for near 20 years in the areas of legal practice, women’s rights, family law, domestic violence and international development. In recent years she has worked part time for other law firms and charities like Women’s Aid and EnhanceAble. Barbara joined Kingston Women’s Centre as a voluntary centre manager but now maintains only her Trustee position.
Aranee is a Higher Education professional who supports students from underrepresented backgrounds. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Aranee served two terms as a Member of Senate. Aranee has 15 years of experience volunteering within the area of community development in the local area working on projects addressing mental wellbeing and women’s development within BME communities as well as human rights advocacy. As an Associate Trustee of the Kingston Women’s Centre, Aranee aims to provide a fresh perspective that supports the Board and operational team.
Samantha is a qualified Transpersonal Psycotherapist and has provided support, advocacy and counselling to vulnerable women at Kingston Women’s Centre, as a volunteer, since 2010. Samantha is a member of UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and also works in private practice in Richmond and Paddington. As an Associate Trustee of Kingston Women’s Centre, Samantha aims to carry out the ethos of the centre, providing guidance and counselling to vulnerable women and to bring new, innovative ideas to the centre.
